Description Datschge 2003-03-31 06:23:36 UTC
Version: 3.1.0-1.cvs20030310.1ark (using KDE KDE 3.1.1)
Installed from: Unspecified Linux
OS: Linux

This is a bug related to the consistency of actions used in KDE apps thus critically affecting usability.

Duplicating a window means creating a copy of the current window, including the same layout, locating and back history. Duplicating a tab doesn't follow this rule though. When you duplicate a tab you only get a new tab with the same location, but the back history of the new tab stays empty. So duplicating a window makes users not loosing a back history since the dubplicated window will take it over, the duplicated tab won't do that, and user might notice that too late. This is a very Bad Thing and needs to be corrected.

Dup'ing with 63438 (and not other way around) since the latter has a better
description. Sorry, but I am lazzy ;-) Please transfer votes.
