Steps to reproduce:
* Triple-click to select a line
* Hold down the mouse button
* Drag the mouse to change the selection

The part of the window with the selection flickers badly when the selection changes.

This _only_ happens when selection is started with a triple-click. It does not happen with single- or double-clicks.
