Description fabio de francesco 2003-03-13 13:42:31 UTC
Version: 1.4.3 (using KDE 3.0.5)
Installed from: SuSE
Compiler: gcc version 3.2
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.4.19-4GB

often while selecting messages in the in-box folder, the subject change in "no subject" and the body becomes blank/empty. Then Kmail crashes after a few seconds, but not always.

This bug is caused by a corrupt index. Quit KMail, delete the index file
(~/Mail/.inbox.index) and then restart KMail. Do you use any other
programs to read your mail? Or do you probably use procmail?

You should consider updating to KDE 3.1. Or wait for KDE 3.1.1 which
should be released very soon.

I don't close this bug report since we should regenerate the index if we
detect that it's corrupt.
