Sentry Crash Report:

Description Roger Larsson 2003-03-12 23:36:04 UTC
Version: unknown (using KDE 3.1.9)
Compiler: gcc version 3.2
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.4.19-4GB

I wanted to change the default behavoir of middle mouse button from "Open in New Window" to "Open in Background Tab" but I could
find that option - I know... more options... :-)

Then I found out that there they are, as check boxes:
* Open links in new tab instead of in new window - ON
* Automatically activate new opened tab - OFF
and, to show my point
* Right click goes back in history

I think there is a better, and space saving, way to add it already
used in KDE (it was what I was looking after):
Control Center - Behaviour - Group "Clicks on Desktop"

Why not add "Clicks on Links" and "Clicks on Page" to Konqueror
settings? Selectable options the same as those who shows up with
right mouse button today (reuse the same list)
("Clicks on Page" "Right Mouse Button" "Back")
Remaining questions to answer:
* Right mouse button with movement (or after time) should always give
the full menu?
* What about mices with more/less buttons? dynamic
* What about keyboard modifiers?
* In what way does mouse actions really differ from keyboard Shortcuts? The mouse shortcuts could be configured there instead!
(Mouse klicks are context sensitive - RMB on LINK, but so are keyboard shortcuts, but on active window)

My proposal add mouse events to Shortcuts!
* Should setting be inherited? page inherits from the application, Link inherits from page...

(In addition I am not sure that the possibility to configure the same thing in different places is bad)
