Asked that question myself: works for me :)
Greetings, Stephan
I am now using KDE 3.1.2 and I still have the problem. Whatever the width of konqueror, the horizontal scrollbar stays. With man:ps, I also have the problem that the window is too wide than necessary. There is a big blank space on the right of the page that is not used. Surprisingly, I don't have this problem with man:bash. I have had this problem since I upgraded to KDE 3.1.3. When viewing a webpage, if the page is long enough to need a vertical scrollbar, then a horizontal one always appears too. It seems that the horizontal scrollbar is there to compensate for the width lost by drawing the vertical scrollbar, but there's no need for this and it's annoying! I compiled KDE from sources with gcc 3.3. I'm using QT 3.1.2. KDE 3.1.3 has a bug there. See #61730. I've created a simple webpage that illustrates this bug: http://www.opengraphics.com/~jjgignac/scrolling.html your test case works fine. |
