KDE Version 2.2.1 (KDE 3.1.1) Application Media Player Operating System Linux (i686) release 2.4.21-0.18mm-mdksmp Compiler gcc version 3.2.2 (Mandrake Linux 9.2 3.2.2-5mdk) bug still valid So aRts crashes if you listen to this stream using noatun. It doesn't crash using kaboodle? Then its a noatun bug since its independent from aRts. BTW: Did you use xmms with aRts-plugin or with oss? Arnold I'll have to check again with kaboodle. I use xmms with arts-plugin, yes. It's strange that only noatun makes artsd crash. As I said, it is not immediate, you can sometimes listen to the stream for an hour before noatun suddenly stops. Then If I click on the noatun play button, a window pops up complaining there is no sound server, the sound server is restarted auto and the stream plays again. If kaboodle crashes too, its a problem in aRts in the PlayObject since xmms does its own decompression. Is the stream mp3 or ogg? Arnold problem is kaboodle does not handle x-scpls mimetype in streaming mode the stream is mp3 Arts is no longer developed and has been unmaintained for quite some time - more than 2 years. With phonon as the replacement for arts in KDE4, we're closing out all the arts bugs in Bugzilla since there is no chance of them being fixed. Thanks |
