Bug 54001

Summary: Trash should have different "states": 'full', 'not that full', 'minimally full' etc. Like a real trash can does.

Icon should change accordingly.

This should be a user-configurable option. "At this megabyte level, the trash can should appear minimally full. At this megabyte level, the trash can should appear half full" etc. etc.

Should not be rocket science, but maybe there are reasons not to do this? Checking the config options, setting icon accordingly?

What are the benefits of such solution?
Comment 2 Rafa Muñoz Cárdenas 2008-12-28 20:32:39 UTC
Yeah I agree with Maciej. No benefits, just more configuration to confuse the user.

Real trashcans actually do not have this kind of visible status unless you go over and peer inside them. The digital analogue is of course opening the trash, which does show you this information.
