I have the same problem on SUSE 8.1 with the pre-compiled binaries. It seems to be a mcop-problem. kdesu -t konqueror kdecore (KLocale): WARNING: found no definition of PluralForm for de _IceTrans Open: Unable to Parse address none Session management error: Could not open network socket /tmp/mcop-myusername is not owned by user same thing here on SuSe 8.1, if you sux - (password) to root then launch konqueror it will work, it leaves an error message on the terminal "mcop warning: user defined signal handler found for SIG_PIPE, overiding", but at least it stays open. if you su to root,cd to the /opt/kde3/bin directory, and launch konqueror,it crashes, the same as if it was launched from the k-menu. the crash leaves the same error as above with the edition of "/tmp/mcop-<username> is not owned by user. same here on suse 8.0 with suse rpm packages. |
