My ascii art failed, apologies. Nice and easy to implement. Could be done as plugin. This sounds like the "Appointments" section of Kontact. It looks to me like this wish was granted. and the "What's Next?" in korganizer. Reassigning all KOrganizer bug reports and wishes to the newly created korganizer-devel mailing list. One line per event per day with one extra per day to give room to add an event. I think the current month view doesn't leave enough space for the event, and a list would be mighty fine.
