Subject: Re: New: locking order of mails It's possible to make certain configuration keys unchangeable. Have a look at the archive of the kiosk mailing list for more information. But it will still be possible for the user to change the sort order. But either when the folder is changed or at least when KMail is restarted the sorting order will be reverted to the one stored in the configuration file. I don't know whether making the sorting order unchangeable in KMail so that the user can't even change it temporarily until the next start of KMail is feasible. We could probably check whether a config key is marked as unchangeable and then not change the sorting order (?). One possibility would be to add a context menu to the generic "header pane" of every list view in KDE (Qt?) which would "lock" the sort order (both horizontally and vertically) and the of the whole list. Similar to what WinXP does with its toolbars. I keep clicking a couple pixels too far up when I want to select the first message in a view too, it's a bit annoying. :) Thanks! Thank you for your feature request. Kmail1 is currently unmaintained so we are closing all wishes. Please feel free to reopen a feature request for Kmail2 if it has not already been implemented. Thank you for your understanding. Instead of creating a new feature request, please confirm here if the wishlist is still valid for kmail2. |
