Whenever I first start Konsole, no program starts.  The launch feedback ticks, but Konsole never seems to run.  Any subsequent launchings of Konsole work okay.

The initial Konsole process that "didn't start" is still an active process in the ps list.  For example, I've clicked Konsole twice, though I only have 1 running graphically.  Two show up in the process list, however.  I am able to kill the first one manually, with no effect on KDE.  Killing the second instance kills the Konsole window that is currently running in KDE.

This has persisted since I upgraded to KDE3.0.  I have just completely reinstalled my linux system from scratch (all from sources), including KDE, and the problem still exists. 

If there is any troubleshooting I can do to give more information, please let me know.

Please kill the hanging Konsole process with "kill -6" and post the result.

I can't reproduce this problem anymore after updating to the latest and greatest CVS.  I've 
tried many different ways.  Seems like it was solved.
