Hi,
I have noticed a strange behaviour in KDevelop 2.0.1. If you open a large C file and do not change a thing and then save it, KDevelop randomly insert new lines in the C file. Has anyone else seen this ?? It is very anoying when working against a version control system lite cervesia. There are a lot of files that needs to be "merged" but when you compare the to files the only difference is that for some reason KDevelop has inserted new lines at randomly places. It would be very appreciated if i could get some help in this matter.

Best regards
/Dennis

Never seen this, but you are using a very ancient unsupported version so please
understand that we cannot support it. Are you sharing the files between
mac/windows/unix machines so the endlines get messed up?

I'd suggest trying gideon, it uses a far advanced editor. Please report if it doesn't work
there.

The error is also present in newer versions. And i am not the only one who has
seen this error. I got an email in the forum from Fred:

>Same problem for me, but since a long time and with many KDevelop versions
>(today v2.1.3 on KDE 3.0.3).

<This is frustrating seeing my files altered like this.

This has to be investigated more!!
To reproduce this problem just open a large C file. Do a minor change. Save the
file. Diff the to versions and you will se that there are quite a few new lines
added in the file.
