Hi, Tyson! Was it an AppImage version of the one provided by Manjaro? Yes, I don't modify my system much. libappimage 1.0.4.5-11 (built on 2025-10-16) Well, I mean Krita itself, did you run it via an AppImage package or via the system packages? I ran krita-5.3.0-beta1-x86_64.appimage by double clicking it. Other versions I mentioned above are also appimages from Krita's nightly repository. I heard that Krita Appimages are packaged with libraries of safe versions to prevent problem. And the Arch/Manjaro Krita distro packages did gave me trouble, so I don't use Krita binaries packaged by distros these days. Just a reminder: Distros don't usually provide beta builds for applications. The only official beta packages I know of is the Linux Kernel RC builds. And to my knowledge, no distro, certainly not Manjaro, ever distributed application using Appimage. I began to understand the confusion now. Next time when I report a bug, if I used Krita's official Appimages, should I tag the "Platform" as Appimage/Linux, describe the source and version, then mention the distro/environment I ran them on? > Next time when I report a bug, if I used Krita's official Appimages, should I tag the "Platform" as Appimage/Linux, describe the source and version, then mention the distro/environment I ran them on?
Yes :)
A part of the confunstion is that ArchLinux/Manjaro is one of the few distributions from which I could expect 6.0-beta1 to be packaged as a distribution package :)
