Odd tooltips on macOS

SUMMARY
When viewing a tooltip immediately after another one, the contents are displayed oddly depending on platform. This can easily be seen with the pop-up palette's brush tooltips.

On macOS, the contents are resized to fit the old tooltip, squashing or stretching the text.

On Linux, the tooltip sometimes briefly contains the old contents while sized for the new contents, before switching to the new one.

This doesn't happen on Qt5, or on my macOS build with the patched Qt 6.9.2.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Open the Pop-up Palette, or anywhere with tooltips.
2. Hover over the displayed brush presets or other things with tooltips consecutively and look at the tooltips.

OBSERVED RESULT
macOS: Squashed or stretched tooltip contents
Linux: Briefly old tooltip contents

EXPECTED RESULT
Proper tooltip contents
