Description onemore.tweak381 2026-02-02 20:05:22 UTC
SUMMARY
Setting Night Light to below 1,100K (most visible with 1,000K) raises the overall black level making it unusable especially on OLED displays at night.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Turn on Night Light (Always on night light or Sunrise and sunset)
2. Set the temperature to 1,100K (subtle effect) or 1,000K (very intense on OLED at night)
3. Apply

OBSERVED RESULT
The black level raises making a black wallpaper/theme gray. This affects everything on the screen uniformly (as does Night Light).

EXPECTED RESULT
The black level remains unchanged as the colors get warmer.

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Linux: Arch 6.12.68-1-lts (64-bit)
KDE Plasma Version: 6.5.5
KDE Frameworks Version: 6.22.0

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
When HDR is turned on Night Light behaves correctly.
