Description ibrahimzaman2004 2026-02-01 19:15:49 UTC
SUMMARY
Fn volume keys can enter a stuck repeat state in Plasma Wayland, causing volume to jump to 0% or 100% until the opposite volume key is pressed.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Hold the volume key without Fn (on this laptop, Left/Right arrow keys)
2. While holding the volume key, press Fn
3. Release the volume key, then release Fn
4. Press Fn + volume key again

OBSERVED RESULT
If volume down is pressed, volume continuously decreases until it reaches mute.
If volume up is pressed, volume continuously increases until it reaches 100%.
The only way to stop it is to press Fn + the opposite volume key.

EXPECTED RESULT
Each key press should change volume once (5%) and stop when the key is released. The volume key should not continue repeating after release.

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
