It seems we have synced some theme files.

Can you share your /var/lib/plasmalogin/.config folder

Reset to default fixed the rendering issue

By resetting to default configuration when applying KDE Plasma settings fixed the rendering issue for Plasma login manager.
See attached screenshot.

Were you using an icon theme acquired via Get New... (i.e. installed for the user only) that was synced to PLM?

We should probably fail more gracefully if so.
Comment 8 Mahmoud Shmaitelly 2026-01-30 03:05:09 UTC
Yes, most likely, it was the case.
Here are the current "theming" info from fsatfetch

WM Theme: KDE-Story-Blur-Blue-Dark-Aurorae-6
Theme: Breeze (KDEStoryBuccaneerBlueDarkColorScheme) [Qt], Material-Black-Mango-LA [GTK2/3/4]
Icons: Gradient-KDE-Story-Blue-Dark-Icons [Qt], Gradient-KDE-Story-Blue-Dark-Icons [GTK2/3/4]
Font: Noto Sans (14pt) [Qt], Noto Sans (14pt) [GTK2/3/4]
Cursor: Bibata-Rainbow-Modern (24px)

If I re-sync to the current theming showed above, the bug will re-appear.
So, there is something wrong (the bug) with the syncing to the KDE plasma theming
