Same issue is happening for me. This didn't use to happen on SDDM.

On plasma-login-manager, the characters first start being typed on my main monitor (my center monitor in my triple monitor setup). When pressing enter the first time, the focus shifts to the right monitor, with the characters still typed. Pressing enter again logs me in.

On SDDM, with the exact same setup, the characters would first be typed on my right monitor, and pressing enter would log me in on the first enter press.
