Description kde 2026-01-23 00:36:11 UTC
SUMMARY
Opening System Settings → Game Controller causes the mouse cursor to become locked/magnetized to the bottom-right corner of the screen. The cursor becomes invisible when stationary but visible when moved rapidly.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Use Plasma Wayland session with NVIDIA hybrid GPU
2. Open System Settings
3. Navigate to "Game Controller" section

OBSERVED RESULT
Cursor immediately locks to bottom-right corner, becomes invisible.

EXPECTED RESULT
Game Controller settings page opens normally without affecting cursor.

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Linux/KDE Plasma: Arch Linux (KDE-Unstable repository)
KDE Plasma Version: 6.5.90
KDE Frameworks Version: 6.22.0
Qt Version: 6.11.0
Kernel: 6.18.6-zen1-1-zen

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
GPU: Intel UHD Graphics (CometLake-H) + NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 Mobile (hybrid)
NVIDIA Driver: 590.48.01 (Open Kernel Module)

Workaround: Rename /usr/lib/qt6/plugins/kwin/plugins/gamecontroller.so — after this, KCM opens and works correctly (tested with Xbox 360 controller via Bluetooth).

Bug occurs with or without a game controller connected. Reproducible 100%.
