Are you talking about the "Account settings" page in your user prefs? I cannot reproduce that, I get "The two passwords you entered did not match. " if the second password is empty. Subject: Re: bugzilla password changer doesn't compare the two fields

i don't think i've ever been there. I had to go to the password *changer* to
get a password to submit a bug - i already had an identity, from
pre-passwords bug reports i suppose, and i had no idea what i had been given
for a password - and i accidentally filled in only one password space. But
that string became the new password nevertheless.
