Description Hume Smith 2002-12-04 17:09:11 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.0.4)
Installed from: NetBSD pkgsrc
OS: NetBSD

Went to change my password for bugs.kde.org, accidentally hit Enter instead of Tab after filling in the first New Password field, and the password was changed anyway - even though the second field was empty

Are you talking about the "Account settings" page in your user prefs? I cannot
reproduce that, I get "The two passwords you entered did not match. " if the second
password is empty.

i don't think i've ever been there. I had to go to the password *changer* to
get a password to submit a bug - i already had an identity, from
pre-passwords bug reports i suppose, and i had no idea what i had been given
for a password - and i accidentally filled in only one password space. But
that string became the new password nevertheless.

This is a known bug in bugzilla, so I'm closing it here:
