Hi. Is this something I can work on and fix? @sukhoi If you can fix it, do it and request a pull after, because if I could I would do it myself. Suppose you quickly want to see the latest files/folders modified, having iso date format (yyyy-mm-dd hh:mm:ss), allows you to SORT ON DATE COLUMN, something you CAN'T with the other date formats. e.g (mm-dd-yyyy). 10-10-2025 10-21-2021 10-24-2010 e.g.(dd-mm-yyyy) 06-09-2025 06-10-2020 06-11-2022 |
Created attachment 188744 [details] Thunar choices SUMMARY Dolphin(25.12, Qt 6.10) can only display datetime as 2 output masks, it laks important one. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. launch Dolphin 2. Configure>Configure Dolphin 3. left pane Display and tab Content display and see what you have for date format. Now 4. Install Thunar if you haven't. 5. launch Thunar 6. Go to menu Edit>Preferences 7. you ought to be on tab: "Display", see at bottom field "date" and its pull down format menu. Et voilĂ there you have 8 choices, see attachment, translated from French would be: today today with 14:25:55 2026-01-20 14:25:55 01-20-2026 14:25:55 20-01-2026 14:25:55 tue 20 jan 2026 14:25:55 custom today/custom EXPECTED RESULT similar to Thunar, more output mask, esp. iso datetime format and this independently of the local settings. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION Just add a pull down menu for date formats to Dolphin Configure, instead of the two radio button choices.
