I finally checked with a brand new archive with a similar structure - top folder called "test", another folder, then another one called "test" inside that one with some files inside. If I drag the top "test" folder it extracts fine, if I instead expand it and drag the intermediate folder with a different names, the files inside the second "test" folder get dropped directly in the intermediate folder, with the "test" folder being essentially deleted. I have no idea how Ark works, but it might be some kind of regex renaming issue or something, where it extracts everything to some temporary location and then moves the files to where I dropped them and renames them to get rid of the top folder which should be excluded... resulting in _any_ folders with that name inside the archive being "skipped" |
