Description Bernhard R. Fischer 2026-01-13 16:31:10 UTC
SUMMARY
If a clip is added to a track which has a track effect attached, all rendering preview zones get invalidated (i.e. turn from green to red).

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Add some clips into several tracks and add some transitions (does not matter which).
2. Attach an effect (e.g. color correction) to one of the tracks.
3. Add some rendering preview zones (at least one) and render them until the preview indicator in the timeline turns green.
4. Now add another clip into the timeline into the track which has the attached effect.

OBSERVED RESULT
All parts of the preview zones which are associated with the "effect track" will now turn red again although they haven't been touched directly.

EXPECTED RESULT
Rendered preview zones shall stay valid (green).
They should only get invalidated if an edit happens within the preview zone or if the track effect is modified.

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Operating System: Kubuntu 25.10
KDE Plasma Version: 6.4.5
KDE Frameworks Version: 6.17.0
Qt Version: 6.9.2
Kernel Version: 6.17.0-8-generic (64-bit)
Graphics Platform: Wayland

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Tested with the current self-compile 25.12.1 as well as with the latest app image (kdenlive-25.12.0-B-x86_64.AppImage).

Note that it does not happen with tracks which do not have any track effect. So I think it is directly related to the track effect.
