Created attachment 188332 [details] journald dumps SUMMARY When I set a timer in KClock for e.g. 2 hours, and then close the main KClock window, I see a floating countdown notification, since i set "Notifications for running timers" to always. However, after 10-30 minutes, the persistent notificaiton disapears, and even from the notification systray. The timer is still running, since if i relaunch KClock, i can see it running and the notificaiton gets revived. I also get a notification when the timer goes off, even if the progress timer dies. It's important for me to see the floating timer notification at all times, since it helps me stay focused on the task at hand. STEPS TO REPRODUCE See (SUMMARY) OBSERVED RESULT Running timer notification dissapears unexpectedly. EXPECTED RESULT Persistent timer notification would stay shown, floating until dismissed, or if minimized, kept in the notification systray until the timer ran out/is cancelled. ALTERNATIVES/WORKAROUNDS use an online timer app / alternative timer app such as: - GNOME Clocks: does not have support for persistent notifications - Play Timer (shows the progress in MPRIS): would have to open the media player systray applet to see the progress, which I will forget to do. I could also enable my laptop screen as a second monitor and put a timer there, but that comes with it's own set of problems. I could also use an external timer, e.g. on my watch or phone. I think this is what i'll do in the meantime, but it's very convenient to use KClock since it has a nice krunner intergration & I don't have to look at my watch.
