STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Set to Lock if the notebook lid is closed.
2. Boot and login into your account with an external keyboard with the lid closed.

OBSERVED RESULT
After a couple seconds, 6~7, the screen locks for no apparent reason.

EXPECTED RESULT
That shouldn't happen because I just logged.

Perhaps the feature that locks when the lid is closed doesn't have an exception for when the lid was never open?

I presume the way you trigger this is with an external screen and a laptop that has the power button on the side so that you can power it on without unlocking the lid?

Yes, I'm using an external TV connected to my notebook via HDMI.
No, I turned on my notebook, then close the lid.

Thanks. Please write specific steps to reproduce that a person with such a setup can follow to reproduce the bug on their system.

1- Connect a TV via HDMi, a mouse and keyboard.
2- Press turn on the notebook and close the lid.
3- Log into your account and wait up to 20 seconds.

After step 2, do you close the lid before the startup process has completed? As in, do you press the power button and then immediately close the lid?

All that is needed to reproduce it is to close the lid before you press Enter to enter the password.

Issue on Plasma 6.5.4
