Sentry Crash Report:

Description Alessandro 2026-01-03 16:25:54 UTC
I'm trying to use an RSS feed: https://scioperi.mit.gov.it/mit2/public/scioperi/rss
Akregator first of all says "Feed not found" (but it works on other online readers like rssviewer.app).
Then, after I add it (by clicking 'OK' on the Feed Properties screen), the program stops responding, and I have to manually killall -9 it.
Maybe it has to do with the TLS certificate?

Nevermind, it's not about the TLS certificate, it seems the issue is with the RSS feed itself, as it's not passing the W3 validation. Still, the app shouldn't crash, and it would be nice if it were more forgiving to RSS feeds with some bad encoding.

Works for me (as in, it does not crash or hang, just tells me properly that the rss is invalid).

If you know how to debug software attach to akregator while it's handing and give us a backtrace
