Description Andy 2025-12-26 12:35:21 UTC
Hello,

when taking photos, I often take 5 to 15 photos of a group of people. Is there a way to select all these photos with the mouse and have digiKam find the best one for me?

It needs to be perfectly focused, everyone needs to be facing forward, have their eyes open, and ideally look directly into the camera.

I would then like to delete the lower-quality photos.

Regards
Andy

Try the Labels view where a quality parser based on IA engine will process your collection and note items using pick labels (flags).

https://docs.digikam.org/en/left_sidebar/labels_view.html#automatically-assigning-pick-labels

A maintenance tool allow to process on the same way, selecting the wanted albums to parse:

Hi!

I tried this this morning. All four photos got a red flag. I'd like to find the best one among the four. See attachment.
I'll go through all the settings again. Maybe I'll find a good one.
