Found this, seems to be a wayland thing: https://www.reddit.com/r/archlinux/comments/1ps8o4e/spotify_minimizetotray_not_working_on_kde_654/ It's not a Wayland bug, it's a bug in the app itself. Loads of Wayland apps that I use can appear as a system tray icon when their main window is closed. If Spotify can't, then this needs to be reported to the Spotify developers. |
