SUMMARY

Icons view is only useful when the icons convey meaningful information about the files.  Therefore, it should not be automatically enabled unless the icons will be thumbnails.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. In View/General, enable setting "Use icons view mode for locations which mostly contain media files".
2. In Interface/Previews, configure such that previews are not shown for remote storage.
3. Navigate to a directory in remote storage which mostly contains media files.

OBSERVED RESULT

View mode switches to icons, which are all generic symbols.

EXPECTED RESULT

Details view mode retained.
