Description Jaime Torres 2025-12-21 09:47:59 UTC
SUMMARY
Since plasma 6.5, when I change sessions (Ctrl+Alt+F3 or Ctrl+Alt+F5), the application reproducing sound is stopped.
In my case, it is usually radio over internet (continuous stream), so when I came back to the session where it was reproducing the radio I have to click on the play button again.
While I understand it is useless to reproduce sound when the volume is muted because of the session change, it will be much better if the playing can be restored as it was before the session change, or at least to provide a configuration to configure this behaviour.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Reproduce internet radios (clementine, qmplay2, ....)
2. Change to another local user session (Ctrl+Alt...)
3. The internet radio is paused.

OBSERVED RESULT
The sound application is stopped.

EXPECTED RESULT
The internet radio playing is resumed.
