Upon looking at the journalctl output, I see that there's a whole bunch of 'invalid `Elf' handle' errors, suggesting that there's something wrong on the AppImage side of things. Strange, because the same AppImage works on other AMD machines, as well as Intel, but not this one. My hardware is:

Processors: 24 × AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 w/ Radeon 890M
Memory: 64 GiB of RAM (62.1 GiB usable)
Graphics Processor 1: AMD Radeon 890M Graphics
Graphics Processor 2: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 Laptop GPU

Interesting to note that the stable release works fine. Also, I tested the nightly build appimage on X11 on this same machine with the same crash.

I've now confirmed that this crash is happening on all of my AMD machines: desktops and laptops alike. 5990x all the way to 9950x and HX9, as well. On the Intel machines (laptops and Xeon workstations) it's fine. Again: 5.2.14 works beautifully on all machines. I don't know why 5.3.0 alpha isn't working with AMD. Used to earlier on, a few months ago, when we were testing Wolthera's text rewrites.
