# Main Problem

When opening application dashboard, it comes with toggled search-bar, using arrows to move to the apps under or menu categories or favorites doesn't work anymore, resulting in a bad user experience.

# Previous behavior of the app

Search bar didn't exist as "bar", but we could freely move using arrows and when starting to enter text, it is searched, which is by far a better UX.

# Misc notes

It is still possible to use arrows but first we gotta hit "Tab" key, and when done, the search bar is no more accessible by arrows.

I am not sure if this started exactly in version 6.5.4, but it worked fine on 6.4.5

Thank you for the bug report! This issue is already being tracked in another report, so I'm merging the two.

I tried fixing this a while ago, but getting it consistently to do the right thing turned out a bit trickier than usual. I'll try to have something ready for Plasma 6.6.
