Hello,
Thank you for your effort to try to solve this.
The problem still exists.

This extra information might help: I have an HD screen (1920x1080 pixels) and a 4K screen (3840x2160) on the same computer. The settings on the screen concerning the scale of the fonts is 100% in de HD screen and 150% on the 4K screen.
When I movet the window of KDENlive to the HD screen, the problem disappears, so the letters are not truncated anymore. When I change the font-scaling of the 4K screen t0 100% in the Windows screen configuration, the problem also disappears although the font becomes too small for comfortable reading). When I change the font scaling of both screens to 150% the problem doesn't appear neither. And neither I have problems when I put the HD screen to 150% (which makes very big letters) and the 4K screen to 100% (very small letters).
It looks as if the system reads the font scaling of the HD screen to calculate the spacing needed for the text, but calculates the font size based on the setting of the screen where the window is shown. As a result, on the 4K screen, you get letters which are well readable in 150% size, but the letters get only the space for a 100% size.

Hi, you didn't mention what version you reproduced this on.
