I can select 'Settings - Configure Kmail' and still use the main menu, e.g. to select 'File - New Message'. However, if in the 'Configure - Kmail' window' I select 'Configure Completion' on the General tab, the main menu no longer works.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. 'Settings - Configure Kmail'
2. In 'Configure - Kmail' window', select 'Configure Completion' on the General tab.
3.

OBSERVED RESULT
The main menu, e.g. 'File - New Message' doesn't work.

Main menu should work.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Kmail Version 6.5.3 (25.08.3)
Is there any reason why a first-level window doesn't inhibit the main menu, but a second-level window does? I wanted to change some settings to see their effect on File-New Message, and encountered this possible inconsistency.

Hi,
we need to make configure completion dialog as modal.
Configure kmail is not modal => you can select menu.

You will have same problem for each modal dialog.
It's not a bug.

Hi Laurent,

Thank you for the speedy reply.

Would it be fair to say that, while the 'Configure Completion' dialogue must be completed before the 'Configure Kmail' dialogue can be resumed, there isn't any particular reason in principle why a second Main menu dialogue couldn't be started? Is it just a limitation that a dialog can't be modal to one dialog but not another?

Regards
