System message at fail.
As I tested, type ENTER doesn't solve the problem.
Thanks for the bug report. This bug is happening in the bootloader, rather than KDE Plasma. To report issues with KDE Linux itself (i.e. OS design, integration, system services, etc), please open an issue here: [invent.kde.org](https://invent.kde.org/kde-linux/kde-linux/-/issues/new), and ignore the scary red banner at the top of the page. Please see this for more information. Thanks. https://community.kde.org/KDE_Linux Thanks, I have opened a new issue : https://invent.kde.org/kde-linux/kde-linux/-/issues/432 |
Created attachment 186974 [details] Boot menu SUMMARY If the user inputs the wrong password twice at boot time, the boot system gets stuck. To recover from this situation, the user needs to reset the system. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Install the KDE Linux with disk encryption. 2. Input a wrong password and type ENTER. 3. Input a wrong password and type ENTER, again. OBSERVED RESULT Boot sequence is terminated. "You are in emergency mode" is displayed on the screen. The system encourages typing ENTER, but the same message is displayed again. EXPECTED RESULT Even if a wrong password is input multiple times, the system should prompt the user to input again and again. SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS KDE Linux 2025-11-20 Kernel Version 6.17.8-arch1-1(64bit) ADDITIONAL INFORMATION This problem is observed on two different platforms. - Fujitsu Laptop PC ( Intel Core i5-10305 ) - VMware Workstation Pro 17.6.4.
