SUMMARY
when cycling the performance options when plugged in, on high performance mode, LED will used red + blue LEDS, insed of Red only

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. have the laptop
2. plug in into power
3. Set high performance mode

OBSERVED RESULT
light on power button is purple from red + blue led being on at the same time

EXPECTED RESULT
Light to be red/ power plan does not affect LED and Fn + q keybind does only

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
when manually cycling through with Fn +q, it cycles properly, eg selection on balanced (white) directly goes to red, selection on battery performance (blue) cycles to white, then red, how ever when on performance mode, it cycles to white then only to red. furthermore editing the power plan via the widget after editing the colour via key bind, the colour will be "set" to whatever was selected in the widget currently, and high performance still has the purple colour

also another difference i noticed was that in purple mode, the fans ramp harder then in Red mode

Thanks for the bug report. I'm not familiar with the details of that laptop. Can you explain more about what colors the power LED light is supposed to show and when?

Also, why would there be an expectation that the light would change color with a keybind but not by changing the power plan?

This is likely a firmware issue that would be handled by Lenovo. If your laptop was pre-loaded with Fedora you can also open a ticket with them:

the light will cycle between blue. white and red (plugged-in only) when the key bind is pressed. the key bind seems to be a built in key bind as it works between both windows and linux, but on linux it only seems to turn purple when it is controlled by the power plan insted
