If for any reason you do not have functional networking the weather widget stays broken indefinitely. I suspect the root cause is networking, not waking from suspend. There have been complaints about this going back at least 7 years, but somehow a bug was never filed and nobody on the KDE team has noticed. https://www.reddit.com/r/kde/comments/99e9l0/force_weather_report_widget_to_update/ One more question, before we can move onto that possibility: what weather provider are you using?
