Description fivenineplusr 2025-11-11 02:47:19 UTC
(version is actually 6.5.2 instead of 6.5.1 but that's not selectable)
SUMMARY

use spectacle to select a rectangular region and submit it to imgur and it doesn't actually submit it to imgur but saves it to disk.

bug https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=506067 says that it fixes it but i'm not seeing that being resolved.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. activate rectangular spectacle shortcut
2. select a region
3. try to export | share | upload publicly to imgur

OBSERVED RESULT

export does not work, link is not copied to clipboard, upload fails.

running from the command line:

~ ❯❯❯ spectacle
qml: /tmp/Spectacle.VvlfZg/Screenshot_20251110_184426.png
error: "/tmp/Spectacle.VvlfZg/Screenshot_20251110_184426.png" "The file or folder /tmp/Spectacle.VvlfZg/Screenshot_20251110_184426.png does not exist."
QObject::disconnect: Unexpected nullptr parameter

EXPECTED RESULT

upload works and link is copied to clipboard.
