Description tjw 2025-11-09 20:28:32 UTC
SUMMARY

When entering transactions in the Ledger view, the default selected item and view automatically snaps to the top (oldest) transaction after each "Save" and when doing "Enter next scheduled transaction". That means that I then have to scroll through the entire ledger to get back to what I was doing each time.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Select Ledger view
2. Right click an upcoming "scheduled transaction"
3. Select "Enter next scheduled transaction"
OR
1. Select Ledger view
2. Scroll to bottom (newest / upcoming transactions)
3. Save the file

OBSERVED RESULT
The view snaps to the very 1st (oldest) transaction in the ledger

I do recall having the same problem in the past - I thought there was a previous bug about this behavior, but I can't find anything now. However, it was mentioned in https://discuss.kde.org/t/actual-development-of-kmymoney/27112 and supposedly fixed, prior to 5.2.1 release. I cannot replicate this now - in a checking (Brokerage) account, either when entering a scheduled transaction or when saving the file. Can you please confirm the version displayed in Help/About KMyMoney...?
