output of amarok --debug --debug-audio cmd

I have a playlist of 417 tracks (several albums). I can play the whole playlist in standard mode from top to bottom. Takes a couple of days but it successfully plays. How ever when I go to "random track" mode it stops pretty quickly. Attached is the output of "amarok --debug --debug-audio" cmd. This only happens in "random" mode. This is not bug ID 172249. It stops randomly last track or not.

Thank you for the report! However, 2.9.71 is a very outdated version, and I'm fairly confident I fixed this bug with commit 5cbe9219234380afbd5958f22ecbb95554fff51b back in 2024, and if not, this is something that has likely been fixed by moving away from Phonon. Please try a recent Amarok version (3.3.1).

Can you tell me what version of amarok introduced this bug. Maybe I can find an old version from opensuse that will maybe work for me?

The bug might have been introduced prior to 2010 or something. You don't want an old version. You want a new version. 3.3.1 is available in official openSUSE Tumbleweed repository, and various community repositories provide recent versions for Leap 15.6 ( https://software.opensuse.org/package/amarok ). As an alternative, a Flatpak is available on Flathub: https://flathub.org/apps/org.kde.amarok
