SUMMARY
Middle click paste not working when general behaivour in the system settings is disabled.

I just tested that on wayland now. There is a related post too, so i figured out, that this is may just a wayland related bug: https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=462113

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Disable middle-click pastes text in system settings (general settings)
2. Restart system if necessary
3. Open konsole
4. select a text
5. press middle mouse button (i chouse the option to paste the text i have selected)

OBSERVED RESULT
No change happended. I guess the mouse event is ignored, because it depends on the system event.

EXPECTED RESULT
As an example: In xfce4terminal the selected text pastes in, even without the system setting. At least there should be a notice or an option in the settings to disable the middle mouse button and the default behaivour sould be separeted form the system settings.

Is xfce4terminal run through XWayland ?

If so that would be expected, the setting can only affect Wayland applications.

That would then be a duplicate of https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=464474
