SUMMARY

After updating to Plasma 6.5.0, I cannot paste content (text or image) from any Wayland application into an XWayland one (specifically, Office 2010 apps running through CrossOver).

This process worked fine before the update (from 6.4.5), some I'm guessing it's a regression of some sort.

Note that the following works fine: copy-pasting from a Wayland app to another Wayland app; pasting from an XWayland app to a Wayland one; copying from an XWayland app to another XWayland app (e.g. from Word to Excel). It's only pasting from a Wayland app to an XWayland app that doesn't work.

Pasting does not work regardless of whether Klipper (Clipboard widget) is running. As a confirmation, when Klipper is running, the content seems to be copied into the clipboard normally. The pasting process as described above works fine when Klipper is not running, as well (except when pasting from Wayland into XWayland).

Happy to provide further debugging information, if required (but with some limitations on how soon, as this is my office computer, so I only have access on work-from-office days).

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Copy content from a Wayland app
2. Open an XWayland app
3. Try to paste content.

OBSERVED RESULT
Content is not pasted.

EXPECTED RESULT
Content should be pasted.
