I get this error under the user "test" on XFCE. When I perform the same steps under another user on the same system (also using XFCE), the backup mechanism works correctly. So it seems to be something related to the user profile — or possibly the fact that the user "test" has home directory encryption enabled. I see the same issue in KDE with the user "test". Additionally, I recently encountered the following popup when starting KDE: "akonadi_control" has closed unexpectedly. Not sure if related Looks for me like some issue with file access to that encrypted home. I don't see how we can fix that in Kate. Could you report it to your distro? I think a tumbleweed upgrade fixed the issue. Not sure. |
