Description valdikss 2025-10-22 21:33:16 UTC
SUMMARY

After writing the .iso file to the USB flash with `dd`, the USB flash boot option could not be selected in the motherboard's boot menu.

The other .iso files, such as Ubuntu and Fedora, are bootable. It should be something with the .iso image of Neon (incorrect El Torito / boot image, etc).

Tested with neon-testing-20251021-0038.iso, but the issue happened with the previous versions as well.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Write the .iso into the USB flash
2. Try to boot from it on Intel NUC13ANKI5 PC

OBSERVED RESULT
The OS is not bootable, the USB flash is not listed in the boot selection menu.

EXPECTED RESULT
The OS is bootable when .iso is written to the USB flash, just as Debian, Fedora, Ubuntu.
