attempt to open .CR2 file with Darktable throws exception

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Find a .cr2 file
2. Try to open with Darktable
3. 

OBSERVED RESULT
Exception dialog box

EXPECTED RESULT
either open the file or report an error, but not an exception

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
digiKam: 8.8.0
KDE Frameworks: 6.17.0
Qt: Using 6.9.1 and built against 6.9.1
Windows 11 Version 24H2
Build ABI: x86_64-little_endian-llp64
Kernel: winnt 10.0.26100

It's clear. The crash is totally outside digikam, in darktable itself.

Try to open darktable alone, and try to open the CR2 file as well to see if it's reproducible.

You are quite correct!  I re-installed darktable, and now the problem 
went away.
