Description k.igano 2025-10-14 11:40:53 UTC
SUMMARY
When I try to follow a hashtag (eg. "rust"), it doesn't work.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Search (e.g "rust"). Select the tag "#rust".
2. Click "Follow". The button turns to "Unfollow".
2. If I search for the same tag again, it offers to "Follow" again.

OBSERVED RESULT
The hashtag is not being followed. Also the hashtag doesn't seem to appear anywhere.

EXPECTED RESULT
The hashtag should have been "Followed".

Actually, there is a bit more nuance here. It seems that the actual hashtag exists. I checked with my other mastodon client on an Android device (mastodon app) and all my other hashtags exist there (the one i created in Tokodon and others I have already been following).

It seems that the problem only lies within Tokodon . Tokodon creates a tag, but then it doesn't know I am following ANY tag at all, or somehow show them to me.
