Once authenticated to a Netware 5.1 FTP server via username anonymous with password jim@cyca.biz or valid NDS username a file and folder listing is displayed. When I try to navigate into a folder or open, execute or copy a file I receive an error:

You do not have enough permissions to read ftp://192.168.0.101/path or filename

I have authenticated to this server with Microsoft Internet Explorer, WSFTP, commandline FTP, GFTP and lFTP on Mandrake and these all work OK.

I can supply you with a test username and adress if you would like to test further.

Also, to log into Novell's FTP via "anonymous" username, a full qualified email address is required for password. IE jim@ will fail but jim@cyca.biz will be accepted.

Could this be a duplicate of bug #36055? 
 
Check if the permissions being reported on the listing would allow you to change 
into that directoy.

To the poster: can you tell us whether your problem is the FTPD reporting wrong 
permissions on the directories and Konqueror trusting them? Or would it be 
something else?

The problem is that a Netware FTP server reports Netware permissions instead of standard Unix.

Here's an example:

Therefore, when browsing a Netware FTP server, kio_ftp should fallback to sane permissions for everything (ie. rw-r--r--).

Please correct this. I have to use a Netware FTP regularly, and I can't use Konqueror to transfer files from/to it because it craps on permissions.
