Thanks for filing this bug report. Unfortunately there isn't enough information for us to try to figure out what's happening. Please add information about your system as requested in the bug report template. Copy and paste this with the information into a new comment. If you're running KDE Linux, it should have snaps available in Discover. If you have another disto installed, this might be a setup issue with that distro or a bug. SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Linux/KDE Plasma: KDE Plasma Version: KDE Frameworks Version: Qt Version: (In reply to TraceyC from comment #1) > Thanks for filing this bug report. What more information could i share? Because i searched for Steam and Firefox on Discover and the result was that only a flatpak packages were found / installable. Am i missing something? Where is the possible snap option for package to install after search results? I could install Firefox and Steam snaps from terminal, though. Should i send screen shots? Thanks for confirming that you're running KDE Linux. Snaps aren't currently exposed in the GUI yet. Please see https://community.kde.org/KDE_Linux Under "Governance & policies" Snap will remain pre-installed and available for expert usage, though not exposed in the GUI or formally supported. See https://invent.kde.org/kde-linux/kde-linux/-/issues/96 KDE Linux is still only available in the Testing edition, because it's not yet fully complete. See https://kde.org/linux/ . As such, expect that things might be missing. You should still be able to install snaps from command line, the wiki page says that it's pre-installed. Thing is crystal clear then - one should wait for the development to reach the point of also Snap package foundation on Discover store in addition to Flatpaks. Of course; as soon as the Snap backend and merge to Discover itself is initially planted - we could start to test on it and giving reports =) (In reply to Dziadulewicz from comment #5) > Of course; as soon as the Snap backend and merge to Discover itself is > initially planted - we could start to test on it and giving reports =) We appreciate your help! |
