Are they USB headphones? No, the headphones have p2 connector. Hmm, that's odd, then. The audio device on my laptop doesn't do this, but I can believe that different setups will exhibit different issues. Probably what happens is that a whole refresh of the audio subsystem gets triggered when you plug or unplug an audio device into that port, and it has the effect of making all the devices disappear for a moment. I can believe this is what's happening. Ideally we'll get an indication of the actual state so we can show an appropriate message. If not, I guess we could debounce the placeholder message with a timer or something. |
