This is a very old version of KDE Connect. Please upgrade to a newer one and try again.
Comment 2 fritz.parsons 2025-09-18 22:35:28 UTC
I tried. This is the newest from the Linux Mint software manager. I
tried to download from the KDEconnect website, but got an app stream error.

FWIW, I learned that if I start a different KDE Connect tool, then start
the SMS, things seem to work OK.

Comment 3 Nate Graham 2025-09-18 22:41:50 UTC
The problem is you're using a distro that ships ancient versions of all software except what's made by the Linux Mint folks (Mint Software Manager, Cinnamon etc). There's not much to be done about that, unfortunately. It is what it is, so you'll have to live with old and buggy versions of non-Linux-Mint-sourced software.
Comment 4 aristsakas 2025-12-21 22:15:00 UTC
Please do not use a version that's almost two years out of support
